A fact of life 

Ok let’s deal with this right up front. First a question then the point We’ll call this “An Unexpected Consequence of Prejudice”. You are swimming in your town’s annual “River Fest”. There are hundreds of your fellow town’s people standing on the edge of the river to watch. Like most towns today your’s is very diverse. It’s my birthday. I have a very simple outlook on life. If you look forward to getting older, fatter & shorter you will always be satisfied. It’s great to have your birthday during the Thanksgiving Holidays. The family comes together and try as they might they can’t ignore it. They will all be studiously avoiding the subject and then that one Aunt who loves you, because she doesn’t really know you very well, will say “Happy Birthday”. Join me. 

With the help of Tim Nesbitt I started work on the album that would eventually become “The Journey”. Sadly Tim did not live to see it completed. In May of 1998, at the age of 39, we lost him to cancer. Along with Tim I have a lot of people to thank and over the next few weeks I would like to introduce each of them to you. I would also like to share a few of the things I’ve learned along the way. One of the most important is that “a love that is shared is never diminished”.
